Like most website operators, Journey to Imperfect collects non-personally-identifying information of the sort that web browsers and servers typically make available such as the date and time for each visitor comment. Like most website operators, we also collect potentially personally-identifying Internet Protocol (IP) addresses for users leaving comments on our blogs. We do not share this information with any third parties, except that blog commenter IP addresses are visible and disclosed to the administrator of this blog.
Gathering of Personally-Identifying Information
Certain visitors to our website choose to interact with us in ways that require us to gather personally-identifying information. The amount and type of information that we gather depends on the nature of the interaction. For example, we ask visitors who comment on our blog to provide a name and email address (your email will not be published when you comment). We collect the names and email addresses of those who wish to receive our newsletter updates via email. In each case, we collect such information only insofar as is necessary or appropriate to fulfill the purpose of the visitor’s interaction with Journey to Imperfect. Visitors can always refuse to supply personally-identifying information such as name and email, with the caveat that it may prevent them from engaging in certain website-related activities.
